Debt Management Process

A Debt Management Plan is an informal agreement between you and your creditors. Creditors are often willing to stop interest and charges on your account.

Once you have started your Debt Management Plan, our advisors will notify the creditors and start the ball rolling for you.

All you need to do is pay your monthly debt management amount and any secured debts, such as your mortgage payment. You make this one payment to us and we will split this evenly between your creditors.

Entering into an IVA may adversely affect your credit rating for up to six years from the date of approval.

Your property will be protected within an IVA but you may be required to release all or part of any equity during the period of the arrangement.

Failure to complete the term of an IVA can result in bankruptcy.

(In Scotland, a PTD is the equivalent to an IVA.)
